Do Not Buy Xtratuf quality is lacking in this pair

My husband wore these boots on a 20-minute walk and got a huge blister on his heel. They are absolute garbage. I would give them zero stars if I could. There is a problem where the boot seams come together in the heel. Do not waste your time with these boots. It was only in one boot, not both. Now to deal with the hassle of a return.

Look at my new boots🤩

I absolutely love my lace up xtratuf insulated boots! I am actually wearing them right now. After wearing their boots for over 20 years on the back deck of a fishing boat in Alaska, the Alaskan tennis shoe. I had no idea then that they made lace ups. I have worn them everyday since I got them, my new ranch boots here in N.Central Washington.

A Perfect Transaction Satisfaction

I bought these for reasturant dishwashing, line cooking and prep cooking. The floor at my job is ALWAYS wet. Then, after we close, we do the floors by throwing buckets of MORE water all over. So, I was looking for a comfortable boot that would somewhat keep my feet dry and enable me to move fast in my work environment. These boots did the job. They are super comfortable "right off the bat". There was no "breaking them in" time at all. Also, they kept my feet dry most of the time. As far as slip resistant, I give them 5 stars. I could and did run across the kitchen and cooler floors without slipping{and I run fast}. I am extremely active at work so the "wear and tear" on all my boots are probrably shorter than the average consumer. However, these did well considering all that I put them through.

For demanding tuf "real work" in wet muddy slop..

Pics with this review are a pair bought Jan 16 2023, a year & 5 days before this post. Used on a construction job of a pair of apartment buildings, double-digit multi-story, actually a complex complete with ground floor level retail spaces also, a large commercial project, spanning a 5-year overall schedule. Lots of mud, slop, gravel, concrete slurry, gooey drywall joint compound, paint, foam, fire caulking, I could go on & on. One of the pics shows a slice/cut a boot endured from a sideswipe of jagged sheetmetal. Amazingly, despite that, as long as not completely submerged in standing ankle-deep water that area was still 90+% water resistant/repellant. Unknown to me beforehand I discovered that the boot upper under the exterior rubber also has an inner liner that is fairly strong, and adds an extra layer that was usually just enough for most circumstances. Fact is.... I should have replaced these months & months ago, but they've held up so well, despite that one unfortunate incident (not the boot's fault, 100% mine). Know in advance these are not crosstrainers or made to simply be prepared for an occasional rain shower or shoveling snow. These are heavy, the soles are thick, and they don't bend much or break in much around ankles the way regular suede leather workboots or hiking boots do. If you are willing to accept that, and expect to be in a wet/muddy sloppy workplace or similar dirty area for an extended or prolonged amount of time then these boots are at the level of ruggedness and durability you need as opposed to local hardware store cheap rubber boots only made for light duty every once in a while, like washing your car or watering your yard with a garden hose etc. For "real work" these will handle just about anything you do (with the exception being that they are rubber can't handle abrasions or cuts from jagged edges, but then again, even leather can get cut too, but leather is not even in the same league as these for wet damp nasty sloppy other......)

Great boot

Great boots! Yes the leather on the uppers do rub your ankle a bit when first bought but I’m use to that wearing custom boots such as franks, nicks, whites. I also have muck boots and Hoffman boots they are also great but I like these cause there on the smaller side and don’t go half way up my shin. Would purchase again👍👍

Extremely painful to wear

I’ve had these boots since last year and I’ve worn them all year through two hunting seasons. I got them as hunting boots, but due to the liner being so thin, where the leather seam is at the ankle it rubs and is ridiculously painful. I have to put 3 layers of moleskin inside on the heel to prevent blisters and I have to change it out every couple months. These haven’t kept my feet very warm either. I’ve always bought xtratuf boots and loved them so these were a let down :(

Best Boot I've Ever Worn

So far this is the best boot I've ever worn. Most most compromise in one way or another, but not these boots. My feet stay dry, warm, and unfatigued after a long day.

Got me looking like Link from the Legend of Zelda

All day comfort and warmth. I live in Chicago by the way so the winters are fun.

Awesome boots, Comfortable day one

Got these for sale on Black Friday and what a steal. Comfortable right out the box, look great, and super quality boot. I’m usually a 10.5 in Vans or other shoes, so the 10 fit perfect. Only criticism is there was some scratches on the leather and not American made! But all said and done Thank you XtraTuf. Please start making American made products again, I’d pay extra!!
