Why We Like The Volt Cromoly Saddle

Not many bike components can pull duty across road, XC, all-mountain, and enduro disciplines, but the WTB Volt Cromoly Saddle is one of the few that can. It combines features from other WTB saddles for incredible versatility, at an entry-level price point. We appreciate the cromoly steel rails that provide a solid base, while the synthetic cover is comfortable and durable. The padding protects sensitive areas and strategically enhances comfort for all-day rides.

Came stock, but loved it

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I bought an Ibis Exie, and due to stock issues, this saddle was swapped in as a replacement for the Silverado. Once I built it up, I wanted to ride the Exie immediately and kept the stock saddle on for that ride. I'm glad I did. It's great! It is the only padded saddle I can even stand to ride long in. I have swapped all my MTBs over to this saddle and am seriously considering swapping all my bikes over. I'm a saddle snob and honestly shocked that a 'cheap' saddle would become my favorite.

Great big guy seat

This saddle is very comfortable. First time I have purchased a wide seat. Should have done it years ago.

Saddle search is over

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

The Volt is my second attempt at finding a suitable saddle for my gravel bike. I like it because it is affordable with just the right amount of cushioning. The chromoly rails seemed like the perfect choice for my chromoly bike. I went with a size medium and I would say it is a perfect fit for my 6’1” 175lbs frame. The saddle feels equally good when riding in the drops and on the hoods. At first, I wasn’t too impressed. However, I started to micro adjust each time I took the bike out and finally found the sweet spot. So, if an open saddle isn’t your cup of tea, I would definitely recommend giving the Volt a try.

My Bum is in Love

Best seat ever. Might not be something weight nuts would love or Racers would want but for someone that goes on 2-3 hour single track rides 1 or 2 times a week, it is perfect. I have a medium width on my enduro bike and the wide on my hardtail. So smart of me, so smart.
