Why We Like The Vasque Juxt Hiking Shoe
From lightweight backpacking to burly trail runs, the Vasque Juxt Hiking Shoe digs into the dirt and sucks up the impact of rocky ascents. The relentlessly grippy Off The Grid sole is durable enough for seasons of enthusiastic abuse, and a TPU plate in the midfoot protects from protrusions and uneven terrain without adding unnecessary weight. The medium-volume Arc Tempo last accommodates higher arches and has plenty of vertical room for our toes so we can bound through nature with fleet-footed agility.

Outstanding Hiking Shoe Vaque Juxt
This Vasque product is a outstanding light hiking or walking shoe. I ended up buying 3 pairs of these for family after I purchased and loved the first pair. A great product for Alaska

Poorly made shoes. stitching came apart on both shoes on the inside behind the toe box. Pretty disappointed given the Vasque name.

Am I the only Woman to get a pair of these,"Juxt"?
I bought these in black yesterday, in Daytona. I found out when I was getting fitted for new insoles, to replace my 4 year old ones, from when I broke my ankle, that I am actually a size 10.5 with my left foot, and an 11 with my right foot!!! I am 59, and have been wearing size 10 women's all this time... None of the women's styles were comfortable, like these. So, now I find myself comfortable in a men's hiking shoe... I am 5'7", and 137 lbs. I feel weird, but actually comfortable, for the first time, in a long time.

Vasque Juxt
I have had three pairs of Vasque Juxt and I really like them. My first 2 pairs were in the color dune which matched my uniform. The third pair was in black because Vasque no longer makes the Juxt in ranger green or dune. Please make make them again in solid military colors! The shoe is really good but not great. Sizing is spot on! The shoe being all suede leather really protects your feet from sharp rocks where lighter weight shoes do not. The out sole is perfect for most conditions except wet algae rocks. The shoes would be great as a low mid boot in coyote brown. I originally bought them because they look good in my BDU uniform and do not have over rated goretex in them. The Juxt shoe breaths much better than a goretex shoe!

Best Ones Yet!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Im not lying when i say its taken me years to find a good shoe. I walk alot, mainly bc im in security, but i hike, i jog, lets just say im outside... alot! lol And these shoes where it I ordered them with my christmas money from my mom in law last year and I really wasnt sure about em, even though i saw a review on youtube about them, but a month after i got them, my house flooded, and you wont believe this.. but these where the ONLY shoes that where floating. Literally. It was cold and miserbal outside yet, I had shoes bc these floated and I fell in love. I average 7k steps on a slow day and a busy day over 10k, and i get those alot, and its been over a year and these shoes barely have wear, plus they are comfortbale as hell. Still. I dont have a picture to add on my computer so i wish I could add it, but they are a bit dirty anyway, but you will not regret it.

Good dry weather hiker, with one bad flaw
I hike around 350 days a year, in AZ, mostly in dry, rocky, steep, rugged, terrain, though occasionally in rain, even snow in northern AZ. I work my hiking shows hard, wear through even the best ones fairly quickly. I found the Juxts on sale, bought 3 pairs as it looked like an interesting shoe at a great price. I'm not worried about wet hiking, as I have other waterproof hikers when needed, and it is mostly dry hiking in AZ. Even though the laces themselves seem more like they belong on a pair of sneakers, I love the lacing system on this shoe, which really helps you get them secured just right for comfort and performance. The outsoles grip fine in dry weather, not as well as some, but good enough. I like the leather uppers. Durable, fairly light, decent breathability. I've run into one issue, and it is a big one, the heal portion of the outsole is not attached to the front 3/4s of the outsole, and it wears & comes loose prematurely. If I were to toss the shoe when this happens, I'd be throwing out a shoe with plenty of tread up front, and an upper in great shape, so I have resorted to superglue on the heal to extend the life. Even with this, I like the shoe a lot and the low cost of entry, but the great value gets less great since the heal shortens it's life so much. If they fix that, this would be a 4 star shoe and a 5 star value at it's price.

My Go-to
After over a year of daily wear these shoes are still my go-to shoe. The only problem that I ran into was that a little plastic bit started separating from the show but after some shoe-goo it was good to go. The bottoms wore out alittle but after wearing them every day for over a year it’s expected, especially with how I walk. Those were my only issues. My first pair will go into my firefighting “go-bag”. The all black version is a great professional and versatile shoe. I will be buying again.

Best overall shoe for everything!
I’m very picky and these shoes do it all. I wear them running errands and on the trails. Multi- purpose shoes that feels great wearing them. Barely no breakin period and my feet don’t hurt wearing them all day. The black and now tan added to collection made these even better. Can wear them with more outfits! Keep it up Vasque!
