- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
used these for the 1st time yesterday at Berthoud. Brand new splitboard, brand new skins - old ones were the original Voile. For reference, I've been splitboarding for 20 years. These skins have next to zero stick/glue. 1 trip up, folded together and packed for the ski down - skins came apart with zero effort and would not stick for skin #2. Had to tighten up the clips just to get them to stay on. These are terrible - I am in the process of getting a refund as I've had them over 30 days but just used them one time - 3 skins up. My old skins (Voile) that I replaced have better stick than these (and I am replacing them because they don't stick well enough - many seasons old) Even now - the next day - a small child can pull these apart now = incredibally little glue or stickiness. they feel like they have been used 50+ times and have no glue left. Who on earth designed these, much less OK'd getting these to market? 100% avoid these
