tight waist but otherwise wonderful

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I went down a size in jeans, etc. recently so got these in my "new" size. Oh, they are soft yet substantial. The blue color is gorgeous. The pockets are great - deep and useful. The butt fits great for this athletic gal, and the legs, too, with a little more give/opening than is shown in most of the gorgeous models' photos here. However, even just taking them out of the box, wow, I noticed the waist was tiny. There's a little stretch, but, again as shown in most of the model photos here, the waist pulls at the button there, it's relatively tight for the size. And I'm a lean gal (albeit with some late middle-aged female softness at the waist). I'm going to size up and see if any better.
