Great shell

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This shell has a hood that is actually large enough to accomodate a hat or helmet. Fabric is nice as it is not too noisy. Does run large. Giving 4 stars as I have only used a couple times and not in a downpour yet to see how waterproof it is

Too light for winter activities

The coat is really a shell that would require a ton of layers under it to make sense for winter temperatures. I suggest it should be advertised like that to avoid disappointments and returns. The color is bright and the quality of the coat is great, the hood covers the helmet. And it would be perfect for a fall hicking or a windy spring day (East coast conditions), but definitely not enough for skiing in winter. Have to return it and keep looking for a warmer option.

Quality is Solid

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Quality seems solid but I could not quite find the right fit. This Jacket seems right for skiing with layers underneath. At 5'0" and about 115 lbs. sizing is a common problem - ex: a M was too long, but if I go smaller its too tight to layer, which is what I needed. Story of my life

Really nice color but too thin

Really nice color and style. But the jacket is really thin and it will not protect me from cold ski so decide to return.

More of a Jacket than a Shell

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Item is called a "Shell Jacket" and I mistakenly took that to mean it is a shell. It's more of a jacket.... I am looking for a lightweight waterproof layer, with a hood, to keep in my daypack when hiking in the Sierras in the summer, in case of rain. This would take up too much room in my pack and weigh too much. It is a really nice jacket, just not what I am looking for.

light weight jacket

Love it, but I found it too big. Going to try the small.

I wish it worked for me

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I really liked the darkest spruce color and the lightweight fabric that allows for layering. It fit well except for the tightness around the upper chest that restricted the ability for my arms to extend backward. Extending arms forward was fine so I think there's something a little off about the cut. I do have straight, athletic build with broad shoulders (but not a large chest) and the jacket had the same issue in my regular size medium and the next size up. Might work for someone with narrower shoulders.

So far so good

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

The color of this jacket is gorgeous! I bought it for my snowboard shell?haven?t tried it in the snow yet but has kept me plenty dry and warm (with layers underneath) while hiking/walking the dog. Blocks the wind really well too. Love all the pockets and can?t wait to use it on the mountain!

Very thin and Small

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Loved the color but the fabic was really thin and I'm not sure this jacket would have lasted. I typically wear a Large and ordered the XL it was very restrictive. I would order up at least one size.
