Why We Like The Spark R&D Arc ST Splitboard Binding
The Spark R&D Arc ST Splitboard Binding feels light on the uphill and surfy on the down. It's one of Spark R&D's lighter options—and the least expensive model, but it definitely meets Spark's strict standards for performance. Its Rip 'N' Flip highback has a moderate stiffness suitable for surfing, tweaking, and freestyling the backcountry, and the baseplate is a single piece of CNC-machined aluminum that's been hollowed out for a lighter feel that conforms to your board's natural flex. Spark went even one step further, employing their "ST" (Smooth Touring) tech that reduces inherent friction and uses a new overmolding process that dramatically improves both performance and durability.
