Why We Like The Signal MIPS Helmet
Sure, the aero helmets of the pro peloton look slick during a time trial, but for the everyday rider, that is a bit much for cruising down city streets. Smith's Signal MIPS Helmet delivers pro-level protection and features in a package much better suited to the bike paths of our hometown loops. With 21 vents to draw air through the helmet, we can stay cooland comfortable, and arrive to work without too much of a helmet hair effect. The vents also help prevent fogging when we're wearing our fastest sunglasses that sit close to the helmet's edge.
Smith uses their VaporFit system, which has a dial and allows for up, down, fore, and aft movement for your perfect fit. A well-fitting helmet is a safer helmet, and with three sizes to choose from, you can make sure to have the best fit for your head. The MIPS layer is a strategically anchored liner on the inside of the helmet that moves independently of the helmet shell to redirect impacts. All of these features add up to a helmet that feels light on your head as you cruise through town with the protection you need to get home safely.

Can’t handle the straps
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I purchased this helmet to use as a commuter/light gravel helmet. The straps rub on the back of my ears no matter how I adjust them, making the helmet unusable. Its a shame because the helmet fits my head well and looks decent.

Excellent Value

This helmet was recommended as a great value, and I concur. The sizing is accurate, ventilation is excellent and chin strap is very comfortable. Helmet feels robust and safe.
