Why We Like The Code MIPS Helmet
Featuring a low-profile in-mold design, the Code doesn't skimp on durability while creating a lightweight product. The polycarbonate shell and EPS liner bring us a high level of protection, with an incorporated Koroyd material that aids in impact absorption as well as airflow. The MIPS System uses slip-plane technology, reducing rotational force common in angular impacts, while tons of ventilation regulates airflow to keep us from overheating.

My favorite helmet so far
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I have finally found the perfect helmet! You can remove the liner inside which is a frequent question for this type of helmet. It is a very light helmet and looks swaggy as well.

Too Small, NO REFUNDS
Helmet was too small and Backcountry will not provide me a refund back onto my card because of the box that I shipped this product in which was the exact same box I received it in. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE

Size chart is incorrect. According to the chart I'd fit size small, but it runs small

sizing is a little bit confusion

I've using smith maze for years, I always buy Large. but code comparing with maze is more like a snug fit, I returned it since there is no room for me to wear a beanie inside.

Lightweight protection
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Upgraded to the Code Mips from the Smith Maze. The helmet is really light and I like having the added protection from the Mips technology. The liner has been okay, my ears start to get sore after a couple hours of wearing it (experienced this in the Maze also), so I have since removed it (easily snaps out) and wear a beanie underneath. I was in between M and L, opted for the L and the Boa allows me to finely tune the fit. Another nice feature is the chin strap - easily opens/closes with one hand.

Dial in the fit
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I wanted to wear this w beanie etc. and people have recommended sizing down. That didn?t work for me, actually held true to size in medium (I measure square in the middle of that) and it fits spot on. The small rode too high on my head. The size up from large from medium seems like a huge jump though... so not sure what that?s about (I have tried on every size). Lightweight, low profile, nice looking helmet w/ good tech.
