Lighter and faster

Shimano’s sleek redesign for the Ultegra SM-BBR60 Bottom Bracket is lighter and faster than before, making it the ideal choice for either your English- or Italian-threaded frame. The new SM-BBR60 is close to 15 grams lighter than its predecessor, and the new design has reduced rotational friction by roughly 50%. This new silky-smooth ride is courtesy of steel bearings and Shimano’s advanced sealing technologies.

Shimano bottom bracket

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

It works spins up nice and they last. When it starts to creak, remove it clean it up and keep peddling.

Shimano Ultegra BB: SM-BBR60

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I installed a new SM-BBR60 bottom bracket on my Salsa Vaya commuter. I road it until it had just a bit of play in it. I got 12,728 miles out of it. I'm 6'2, 200lbs and I ride 70% road and 30% gravel on my commute. I paid $25.59 for it. Needless to say, I installed another new SM-BBR60 today. I doubt there's a better value out there!

Refurb Success

Familiarity:
I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought this bottom bracket to refurbish a bike as a gift to my little sister. Great price. Solid performance. I've been riding on a Shimano BB for a solid minute and trust it so much to put my lil sis on it. The new rig has allowed her to enjoy cycling so much more. The bracket does the business and she feels more secure and connected while she's on it. Standard installation and no surprises.

Good BB

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Fit well and is smooth. Had to re-face my BB to remove OEM paint job and now everything is smooth and perfectly aligned.

The best $20 upgrade, money well spent!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This was the best bb upgrade, smooth and quite.. no creaking. Easy to install... I must have about 3000 miles on it with no issues. Would definitely recommend
