Why We Like The Gecko Approach Shoe
Sometimes the walk-off is the crux, which is why we trust Scarpa's Gecko Approach Shoe to grip the rocky terrain on the way back to the car. The durable suede upper is soft and flexible, making the break-in time speedy for comfortable wear on steep inclines while the sticky sole bites exposed edges.

Horrible Blisters!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I bought a pair of these shoes, and they destroyed my heels. I had an older pair of the exact same size that I loved, but Scarpa removed some of the heel padding. This left a very rigid area in the back that with even the tiniest amount of movement will rub your heels raw. To make matters worse, when I tried to return these shoes, Scarpa wouldn't let me because they were "used". Don't bother purchasing unless you are completely positive these will work for you out of the box.
