Atlas 35 Stem

Stems haven't quite kept up with the growing popularity of 35mm bars, but Race Face is working to change that, and the Atlas 35mm Stem is leading the way. It's intended for serious gravity riding, and made accordingly from bomber 6061-T6 aluminum, which is nice and light but still tough enough to take a hammering without getting thrashed. The four-bolt clamp is designed to lock down on your bars without creating pressure points, which lead to weakness, and the U-shaped interface helps distribute the load to prevent failure. It comes in three lengths to help you fine-tune your setup, and weighs right around 160g, which makes it competitive with less durable XC-style stems.

Made a big difference

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I felt a little too stretched out on my bike so picked this up cozy up the cockpit and it worked well. It took a little adjustment to get used to it especially at low speed corners but that went away quickly and I am really happy with my purchase.
