Why We Like The Discover Seatpost
We take drop bar bikes into some rowdy off-road conditions on the regular these days. The equipment has had to keep pace with the demands of increased durability and remain loyal to our unflappable desires for the lightweight road machine. Pro’s Discover Seatpost rides that fine line well with a carbon construction infused with Dyneema for impact resistance and increased durability. Billed as a post that smooths “out the roughest rides,” the Discover encourages us to take that hard-right onto the unpaved washboards and beyond.
Pro constructs the Discover to fit with Di2 shifting systems and install easily with a single bolt clamping setup.

quality
This is a high quality seatpost. First of all, it is round. I had a lot of problem lately with other seatpost that are off. The Pro discovery seatpost was made perfectly. It is easy to adjust. It comes with inserts for round and also 7x9 rails. The 7x9 fit prologo carbon rail. You will need a torque wrench and 5mm socket to torque it to about 13nm. So far I have used 11nm and it is holding up. I feel the dyneema does dampen the vibration a bit and that's my opinion. It has a smooth ride quality to it, not a magic amount of difference of course. It's not like a having a suspension. I am using this post on the road and it is easy to tell over chipseals.

Added Compliance To The Seat Area
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I replaced an aluminum Easton seatpost on my Cervelo Aspero with the Pro Discover Carbon Seatpost and cannot believe how much it has improved the ride. I just don't think about any of the jarring and bumps coming through the seat anymore, which is the best compliment you can pay your equipment when you're looking for improvements to your ride in search of additional comfort.
