great fit for me

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I love the fit. The roll up leg snaps are handy. Integrated belt is wonderful. Only issue is that the cargo pocket has a top zip and a front zip for the same pocket. Silly.

Pilling

Use for climbing. Pockets are awkward, they pill a ridiculous amount for the price paid. Will not buy again

Perfect

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This is my 4th pair of Prana Zion hiking pants. I love them. The best I have ever worn, for hiking and just every day pants. Extremely comfortable and very well made. They have held up year after year. My newest pair now has a zipper coin pocket, which is a great addition. My only complaint is that the crotch zipper is too short. Needs to be an inch or so longer, for easy access. Otherwise they are "perfect."

Ruined a good thing

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The product description includes the words “tough” and “abrasion resistant” - these are lies. The original Stretch Zions that I’ve climbed in for years are in better shape than the Zion II’s I just bought and climbed two days in. These are junk, Prana ruined a good product.

Change is Sometimes not Good

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've owned about half a dozen pairs of the previous version of Stretch Zions and I love them. I just received a pair of Stretch Zion II pants and compared them with my tried and true Zions. The fit seems the same, and the fabric seems OK, despite the many negative comments I've read. I'll withhold judgement on the plastic button and see if it holds up over time. I have a real problem with the way the side pocket is stitched on though. On all of my previous pairs (same size, 33/30), the side pocket sat farther to the rear. Now the bottom front corner of the pocket is almost centered on my knee. It feels very odd while walking because of that. In the previous version of Stretch Zions about one third of the side pocket was forward of the side seam, and about two thirds was to the rear of the side seam. Now the pocket is directly centered on the side seam. It doesn't work, and there was a reason it was more rearward in previous versions. prAna needs to go back to the drawing board.

Terrible fit

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

The dimensions are off and too long. The legs drag on the ground when wearing trail runners and the legs flair out a comical amount. The seat and crotch were super baggy and the leg pocket was on my knee.

What happened?

Prana ruined my favorite pants. No idea what went through their heads when they shipped these.

Awesome Hiking Pants

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

These great-fitting and stylish pants are ideal for hitting the trails, but can also be worn in a casual workplace. Extra pockets offer easy access and ample storage for gear. The material is comfortable, stretchy and durable.

Great All-rounder Pant

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Fit is good. They are lightweight and have lots of stretch. The SZ is wind/water resistant. Pretty good for any outdoor activity. I wish the zippers were a little bit more durable. I like the button at the waist, keeps secure.

Slow Unacceptable Shipping

Took backcountry 4 days to ship out. Too slow, won't even need this anymore when it arrives. Won't shop here again.
