Nice pants, surprise rise
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I’m 5’4”, around 125lbs with a relatively straight up and down figure (25” at natural waist, 34” hips). I’m a 25/28 in 501’s. I got the 0 regular based on the size chart and it fits fine, but I wish I had been able to try them on first. It says mid rise and I’m sure it is, but I guess I’m just used to so many pants being high rise nowadays; it feels low to me. (Where they hit me, I’m 30” around.) I keep wanting to pull them up but that’s a real no go. I’ll probably get used to it but if I had tried them on first I’m not sure I would have bought them. Comfy, flexible and light otherwise! Haven’t tested them in weather yet, which is why I bought them, but for everyday pants seem fine so far. Your mileage may vary, if you prefer a different fit.

Great all purpose pants
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I can wear them to work, climb, hike, travel - awesome all purpose pants. I regularly wear them to work, and they're particularly nice for bike commutes (shorter ones where I don't need bike pants). They seem fairly true to size; I'm probably a 2 on the size chart (26/36.5) but got the 0. I can move in them great, but would consider sizing up for a looser fit too. They did pill a bit the first time in the dryer, so recommend laying out to dry if you're going to wear for work.

Favorite pants ever
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Seriously hope these are never discontinued. I was super excited when these came out, since I was a huge fan of the Meme pants which I've put through hell for years, but wanted something more stylish that could transition from work to trail. These totally hit the mark. I wear them to work (frequent kneeling on concrete, no holes/wear in the knees), travel, commuter biking, and long day hikes. Super lightweight, don't snag, don't stain. They are cute and plenty stretchy, although not enough for scrambling. I'm between sizes (always, it seems). If you're in the same boat, size up for a more practical (but still flattering) fit on the trail, but plan on having to wear a belt. Size down for a true skinny-jean fit with less movement. Be aware that like all Prana pants, they are slightly loose in the waist. For some reason my black pair starting pilling quickly, while the rest are fine as are my very old Memes. I'm 5'6" and the regular length is a little long and I have to cuff them, while the shorts are about a 7/8 length hitting above the ankle. I agree with another review that some colors are way off in sizing, while others are right on the mark. I have black, smoky blue, and ashy and they fit true to size like other Prana pants. Coal, thistle and moonrock all fit totally differently (and not like the Meme pants in the same colors). Total shame, and hopefully manufacturing has been solved since I ordered in 2019.

Best if you can try on to find size

Colors and sizes I bought Batik- 4 & 6 Cargo green- 4 Earthbound- 6 Batik in the 6 was way too big. Earthbound in a 6 fit a almost perfect. Batik in 4 was almost perfect (waist is too big) while cargo green is tight in the waist but fit. That being said, the 4 was great for climbing and walking around all day, prana seems to run big in the waist for me so I pair a flexible belt and that fixes the problem. TLDR: try on! I want more but don?t want to have to buy/try on/ send back more than the 3 pair I already have. I?ll wait until I can try them at a store
