Why We Like The Quest Short-Sleeve Jersey
The Quest Short-Sleeve Jersey from Pearl Izumi lends itself to functionality and clean aesthetics with comfort as a top priority. Select Transfer fabric ensures proper thermo-regulation by actively pulling moisture away from the skin when we're riding in the summer heat, and a non-restrictive semi-fit improves full freedom of movement. This jersey's 10-inch front zipper ventilates our upper body when we're trudging up steep climbs, and the elasticized hem keeps everything in place when we assume aero positioning.

Great Jersey for the price
I found the fit very comfortable—not too tight or too loose. Initially, it felt slightly heavier than some other jerseys I have, but it performed great in low 80s weather. The colors look great, and the branding is minimal, unlike some other brands that put their giant logo everywhere they can. The Dark Spruce/Gulf Teal jersey is sharp-looking. Love the price point - I'll be ordering additional colors. Size L fits me well at 5'10" / 175 lbs. Highly recommended.

Longer, thinner, and more relaxed
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This new Pearl Izumi Quest short-sleeve jersey has an updated fit compared to the previous (2019) model. It is now slightly more relaxed (loose) fitting, the material feels slightly thinner, and more noticeably it is also a fair bit longer than the previous model year. In fact, for me- I now find the Quest jersey to be TOO long. Taller people might not find issue in the length, but personally I'm pretty disappointed. The previous Quest jersey was my go-to jersey. I'm now waffling on whether I'll keep these new ones or if I'll send them back. This is an unfortunate trend I've seen in Pearl Izumi over the past 2-3 years. They've taken perfectly good products and tweaked the design-- and in most cases not for the better. There are exceptions to that (the fit of the new Tour jersey is much better than the previous Tour jersey!), but more often than not things are changing for the worse. This is coming from someone who has nothing but Pearl Izumi in his gear closet, who is now being forced to look elsewhere for cycling gear because Pearl no longer offers things that fit me like they used to. Anyway, I now recommend the new 2022 Tour Jersey over this Quest jersey. The fit is slightly more snug (standard vs relaxed), but the length is where it should be.
