Elevate ElbowGuard

Real comfortable, real protection; thats the Elevate Elbow Guard. These medium-weight guards use D3Os flexible LP1 viscoelastic pads for premium protection. Lightweight four-way stretch Cordura provides an unparalleled fit with incredible durability. We leave the pad open inside the elbows to make moving on the bike through technical sections as comfortable as possible and to improve ventilation for riding on hot days.

they slide down my arms

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Slide down my arms while going down the chunky stuff, really annoying and scratchy. I measured and ordered the suggested size

Good D30. Does not stay, too to tight

No silicone grip. Say tight I thought it would stay, actually uncomfortable to wear. I have a number of hot elbow armor and need a cooler summer set. I like the O'Neal better, even though the protection is smaller in area and thickness, and maybe in response to impact. Makes my arms feel like a over stuffed sausage. I have the P.I. Elevate knee and like them. They have silicone grippers and stay fairly well. Fit is not overly tight in the size large knee pad/armor.

Well made but not quite right

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I wanted to love the Elevate Elbow Guard just as much as I love the Elevate Knee Guard. Five stars for high quality construction and great padding. But unlike the Knee Guard, the Elbow Guard has material, not a cutout, inside the elbow where it bends, which bunches and restricts bending movement. Loses a star for that design. Even worse, there are no grippers on the elastic! Loses another star and causes a lot of swearing to come out of my mouth as the guards slip down one or the other arm while I?m navigating the bike park. I am a solid size small in all other Pearl Izumi arm/leg warmers and in the Elevate knee guards but this size small isn?t quite right. Since I?ve already used the elbow guards a bunch of times I am keeping them, but please Pearl Izumi come out with a v2.0 that fixes these deficiencies.
