Why We Like The Quandary 5in Short
When you're wearing the Patagonia Women's Quandary 5in Shorts, the question won't be what to do, but what not to do. Their amphibious nylon, spandex blend fabric is quick to dry when you need to cool down in a mountain lake after a long hike and is treated with a DWR coating to protect against a little bit of rain and the occasional stain.

Love these shorts!

I absolutely love these shorts. They seem to run a little small, so I had to size up to an 8. I’m glad I did because I love how they fit and look.

Just the right length! Do not chafe. Love that the pockets are deep enough for a phone and there's even a zippered pocket in back. Very comfy for hiking or around the city on a nice day :)

Run big
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I would say these are pretty roomy. I’m 5’11, 150lbs and can pull an 8 up and down without having to unbutton or unzip. The 6s fit fine, but I’m usually never a 6 (I typically can’t fit into 6s). So if you like really relaxed clothing go with your normal size, otherwise size down for sure. In these shorts I bought the salt grey, which are not nearly as dark as they look on the website. I’d describe them as a light grey in person. Good length, moisture wicking. I like the shorts and pants alike, but be aware of the sizing, and know, too, that the color may not be exactly as it looks on the website.

The perfect pair

These seem to fit pretty true to size in my opinion. They are the most comfortable shorts I own. I?ve worn them hiking, biking and running. Also just lounging. I live in them all summer long.
