Why We Like The Organic Cotton Fjord Flannel Shirt
Patagonia's Organic Cotton Fjord Flannel is a go-to when the air has a chill for its blankety feel and breathable material. The virgin cotton is warm and soft to the touch, making autumn days in apple groves and winter nights by fireside cozier than we thought they could be.

Great looking shirt
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Soft feel and comfortable. Great look and not cheap looking. It has a straight cut bottom (no tail) so It looks good untucked. I'm 5'5" athletic body so the SM fit me perfect.

Great shirt, but runs a bit snug
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Patagonia definitely changed the fit on these shirts. I have two others from a few years ago that are more boxy and roomy, but this version has a more athletic cut. Overall, I think it's a better look, but it definitely feels different wearing this one. I'm 5'11" and 175lbs. I'm a size medium in most things, so that's what I got with this shirt. The upper torso of this shirt is a bit snug and the buttons there pull a bit more than I'd like, but I still kept the shirt. The fabric is nice and comfy and the colors are great!

Super soft. On the thicker end. Little shrinkage. Beautiful colors. Couldn't ask for more!

New Version is Too Thin
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
Definitely proving how subjective reviews are; most other low-star reviews complain about sizing changes, which I haven't noticed at all. Fit the same as ones I've been buying since 2018 or so. Patterns, colors, and stitching are all great, as usual. What made me return mine was the thickness of the fabric; the older ones I've had/worn hundreds of times by now are about twice as thick as the current midweight flannels Patagonia sells. I love these as a substantial layer, but they become far less warm and durable when they're about as thin as a standard shirt. Figured I'd found my default flannel for life here, but poor quality has me looking at other options.

Gift for hubs

Well made, standard sizing. Quality shirts that last. My husband is a big fan.

Still Classic
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I can't say that I agree with the other reviews about sizing. Seems to have stayed pretty consistent for me, in that I'm still a Medium. I prefer Slim Fit but this is the type of product where I don't mind that boxy Patagonia Regular Fit. I have owned roughly 6-8 of these throughout the last 10 years or so. Arounf once a year they come out with a color I want to add to my collection and this year was no different. I also prefer to send my money towards companies like Patagonia, that make an effort to investigate their supply chains and find options that pollute less and care about workers more.

Quite Tight In The Arms = Too Bad
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Look, I'm a geezer who's absolutely NOT buffed out. In fact, I am specifically on a 60 day bouldering campaign to improve my upper body fitness. With that in mind, I received this shirt as a gift and was very surprised to discover how tight the arms are on me; almost to the point of being uncomfortable. I don't know what is going on at Patagonia; seems like all their stuff is being cut very skinny these days. FWIW: This problem does not exist across the North Face clothing line; and the brand needle in my closet is moving accordingly.

Fjord Flannel Size L- runs small now
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
My husband has been wearing Patagonia Fjord Flannel shirts for years. He has 29 hanging in his closet- it?s his go-to for work. Always been a size Large. We ordered 4 this year, & they are cut totally different and too small. The xl is too large- just can?t find the right fit from a shirt that has fit him so well for years. He?s bummed because he loves these shirts.

Fjord MW Flannel shirt men's Size L
I like Fjord flannels and this is the 3rd Fjord MW Flannel shirt I bought. It is much smaller in the body area than previous Fjord shirts. Did Patagonia change the sizing or what? I always wear Size L for Fjord shirts but I have to return this one because it feels like I'm wearing a medium size.
