Designed for winter warmth and superior weather protection, the Patagonia Frozen Range 3-in-1 Parka can handle wintry weather with ease, while the detachable layers separate to offer year-round versatility. The two-layer GORE-TEX shell offers breathable wet weather protection, while the down liner insulates against the cold.
We wear both layers together for protection against winter's dreaded blizzards or separate the layers for extended use in spring and fall. The GORE-TEX shell keeps us dry and comfortable on rainy spring mornings grabbing coffee downtown, while the down liner jacket layers over chunky sweaters for travel adventures in the fall. Using simple attachment loops and a seamless pairing, Patagonia developed a jacket to tackle the nuanced weather conditions wherever we travel.

Best parka ever
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I took the plunge and bought it. No regrets. This is the warmest and coziest parka ever. I never am cold anymore. Love the style, the pockets, everything. When I wear it I don’t want to take it off anymore. It was an investment, but I will have it forever.

Very warm
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I'm 5ft2 115lb and have athletic arms, the size small fits great with room to layer. With both the lining and the shell, the jacket is quite windproof and warm for the Boston winter. The pockets are also convenient

Not living up to the hype
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I?ve had this about a year now and have used it infrequently but it hasn?t met expectations. The outer layer hand pockets are not lined so if you?re using both layers of the coat together (because it?s super cold), your hands have no warmth or protection. Also, although fairly warm, it is less warm than my old Eddie Bauer expedition weight parka which I paid MUCH less for. It?s extremely bulky considering it provides less warmth. The giant inner pockets are super nice for dropping in your wallet, hat, mittens, whatever. Also, I always wear my purse on my left and my left shoulder has already developed a cold spot, and this coat has been used less than 50 times total. I?m also having feathers already coming through seams. This coat was advertised as the ultimate defense against the cold and hasn?t lived up to that. I paid a lot of money for it and am wishing I had bought something else. This does ok in Denver, but never would?ve held up in Chicago winters like my Eddie Bauer coat did. Disappointing!

Nice quality but not flattering at all
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I order this parka in small ( 5 ft 4 128 lb, in my mid 50 ties). The fabric and quality are very nice, the jacket is light however it made me look fat, the size was right for me. The proportions are not balanced as it is thick and short, a bit too short for a long parka. Unfortunately I was not comfortable keeping it despite I was looking for a very warm coat to wear in Montreal Canada.
