Why We Like The Dirt Craft Bike Short

If you're looking for a pair of shorts you could wear before, during, and after trail riding without having to bring a change of clothes, pick up the Dirt Craft Bike Shorts. Built with a two-layer design, the shell is cut slimmer than your standard mountain baggies, made with a stretchy blend and finished with a water-repellent DWR coating for comfort and protection. When you're on the bike, the outer layer pairs with a stretchy, moisture-wicking inner liner, complete with a cushy three-layer chamois and mesh paneling to keep you comfortable during long days on the trails.

Great shorts…run Small

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Bought a pair and they seem like they are very well made however they run small. I am a standard 36 and these fit more like a 34.

Size up 1-2 sizes

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I actually didn't use these so the star rating can be disregarded, I have no idea how they perform, etc. Size up 1-2 sizes from what you wear in other brands if you have bigger thighs. I am 5'10, 185 and have a 34" true waist, and measured 24" thigh circumference at the largest spot and typically buy a 32 in Fox, Zoic, Abit, etc and could barely squeeze the 33s over my thighs while the waist actually fit right. I do own a lot of and wear tight road bibs but these style shorts are not comfortable when the outer short is too tight since they don't move like lycra. The sizing almost reminds me of Castelli road bibs - +2 sizes for fat Americans :) This is not a complaint, just hoping to help some others buy the right size!

Excellent pair of shorts- order size up

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Ordered these based on recommendations from a friend. Couldn't be happier with the quality of the product, the tech features like waist adjustment and zippered side leg gear (phone) pocket work great. The liner is very high quality and the chamois is very comfortable. The liners construction is very breathable and put it to the test for several consecutive days on the bike in hot muggy weather this weekend and VERY happy. As many reviews have said definitely order a size (or even 2) up. I wear a size 30 almost always but could barely get into the 30s. I ordered a 31 and 32 and it was a tough call which one was best and I could have easily kept both. I ended up using the 31 as I wanted to over shorts to be a little tighter as I use these on gravel bike as well as moutain. Great product and would recommend to anyone.

Runs small, Still Love em

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Great Shorts and liners. Quality you would expect from Patagonia. Left leg pocket is big enough for a large phone and is not bothersome.

SUPER SMALL!

Normally 31-32 waist and just in case ordered 32 and 33... both were crazy tight! Order up 2 sizes and itll likely fit spot on, seem decent otherwise on quality

Size up. Problematic liner. Skip em

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Overall just too much $ for what you get. Buy something else. Outer shell good and light weight yet inner liner creeps up while riding. Definitely better than the ultra lightweight yet ultra poorly constructed Dirt Roamers ( do NOT get those.) If you like to constantly tug on your inner liners while holding the handlebars, go for it. They have no thigh elastic and just ride up to your upper thigh all the time. A far better solution would be to sell just the shell and allow riders to provide their own padded shorts, which are a dime a dozen. if you do buy, size up in order to allow the waist to get tighter and looser. If you order your true size, there is no space to allow for the few winter lbs you might gain. Patagonia mtb short collection is terrible.
