Why We Like The AlpLight Down Pullover Jacket
Patagonia's endless innovations have brought us to one of its lightest insulators yet. The AlpLight Down Pullover Jacket combines the lightweight and packable insulating power of goose down with rugged recycled nylon to create a midlayer ready for alpine adventures, sunrise on the skin track, or an afternoon downtown. Down is already compressible enough to pack into a pocket, but this jacket's integrated stuff-sack also features a carabiner loop, allowing us to clip the packed layer directly onto our harness without needing to fuss with a backpack.

I like the jacket but...
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Nice, lightweight jacket. I'm not sure I agree with other reviews though. I am female, 130lb and I orded a small. It fits but somewhat snug over my base layer and a long sleeve T. I'll keep it because I intended to use as another layer under my coat but would have sized up if I wasn't planning on doing this.

AlpLight Patty - Backpacking

Fit more perfectly than other single article of clothing I own so check my size/weight stats. Packs down very well and is very light. The fluff takes a second to come back after getting squished down. With just a tee underneath, was immediately warm at 55 - 60 degrees, was comfortable around 50 degree, and then needed another layer sub 45 degree. That being said I get cold very easily. It's extremely comfortable.

Pretty good

I bought this to replace my MH Ghost Whisperer 2. This is warmer than the GW and lighter. The only con is no pockets, but for what I paid for it I'm very happy. I've had this down to low 30's with just a light base layer and was warm and comfortable. It's a slim fit my patagonua down sweater in medium has plenty of room to layer nit this one so much. For an ultralight insulating layer with a great warranty this hard to beat even with the dumb baffle design.
