Avoid the yellow color
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I bought this jacket for its features and color. When it arrived the jacket looked patchy or stained, almost. Looking closer, I saw the material was so thin I could see the gaps in the filling of the jackets. It might have been less noticeable with other color options, but the poor quality of fill made me question the jacket in general. I have other OR products that I love, and have bought from Backcountry before. I returned this jacket for a refund, which was a pretty easy process. This could have been a one-off experience for me, but it was a little disappointing coming from some brands I really support.

Overall nice, but fragile fabric
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I bought this coat for a trip to Iceland and the Faroe Islands (currently 9 days into a 3 week trip). On the 4th day of wearing this coat, generally covered with a rain jacket, I noticed a tear on the right elbow. So, I have to agree with another reviewer that the fabric is not durable. The hole is covered with duct tape and I will contact Backcountry on my return home in 2 weeks. On the plus side, the coat is much warmer and wind resistant than expected. Also, it's very light weight and compressed into a relatively small package. I'm just really sorry that it ripped on the 4th day I wore it. I would not purchase this jacket again as a result.

Light and warm
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I love how light it is and yet warm without all the bulk. I use it as mid layer and it’s absolutely perfect. It’s not water repellent but it’s fast to dry. To wear it as standalone jacket is mainly good in spring and early fall. The yellow color is perfect. Sizing is great. I’m happy overall.

Like it, but ripped easily
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I bought the yellow to be more visible while walking my dog. It’s very comfortable and warm for how light it is, but it ripped easily while playing after a walk and is clearly not as durable as other jackets I own. I am disappointed in the short life it had in perfect condition, but may try to sew or patch it up. I can usually wear a small in most jackets, but went with a medium to have room for extra layers and I was happy with the fit. Sleeves are a bit long, but fold up ok.
