Protecting my ginger from the rays

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Love that hat. No bad reviews from my son. I bought it to keep the sun off my my son. Doing a great job. I think it's kinda warm. It has a fleece like lining.

Sizing didn't line up

The XS/S was too small for my son. He wears a bicycle helmet, size XS, with a range of 19.5"-21.25". He has to tighten down the adjuster on his helmet, so I figured he was on the smaller end of that range. This hat in XS/S indicates sizing from 18.5"-20", but it did not fit him even when we maxxed out the adjuster. The M/L sizing choice for this hat starts at 21", but I didn't want this falling over his eyes while he's paddling/hiking/etc, which is why I chose the smaller size. So, if you're in between sizes, size up!

Kids' Seattle Sombrero

Good-looking, very practical hat for sunny or wet weather. Adjustable means a perfect fit.

Works great to keep sun out of kids eyes

Bought for my son to wear when we are out on the water. He loves it and it looks really good on him.

Excellent Hat for children

Excellent quality, with adjustable strap at the back for sizing. The lanyard is good and Velcro in convenient locations to fold the sides. It would be good to have a place to store the lanyard/strap when not in use.

The best

I have adult version and got this for my daughters birthday. The best all-around rain hat made!

Waterproof but does get hot

I bought it for my 1.5 year old son at the L/XL size. Just be careful that this size while it sounds large probably won't fit toddlers beyond 3 years old. It is true to outdoor research's waterproof ability but it is lined inside which makes it hot on a day warmer than 20 C. Kids tend to run around so a hat gets warm fast. I would bring a separate sun hat for sunny days with no rain and save this one for wet days.

Does it's job!

This sun hat was purchased for my youngest son, he is very sensitive to light and this hat helps shade him for the sunlight that irritates his eyes.
