Super comfortable!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I bought these a couple weeks ago for hiking. So comfy when we're hiking in various terrain: wet and dry. No chaffing, soft material, and dries easily. The length was perfect.

Great hiking shorts

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Love these shorts. Bought them on sale. The only reason I didn’t give 5 starts was the issue with the belt that I read about in the reviews. It gets twisted and is difficult/pointless to fix since it just gets twisted the next time you remove them. I think in the newer versions they may have fixed this. I’m normally a small but ordered a medium for a looser fit and knowing the belt would adjust to fit me. 28” waist 40” hip

Not impressed

Familiarity:

These are rather expensive shorts. I find Outdoor Research products to be higher priced. I decided to purchase them because they have many great reviews, and I also bought them with a little discount which softened the sticker shock. On the model, the shorts look baggy. I figured maybe that's because the model is pretty thin. Wrong. They are baggy and comfortable but not very attractive.

Great for an active summer

Familiarity:

I bought these shorts for hiking and and some water exposure. The shorts are well made and comfortable. The only thing I don't like is that the belt gets twisted up inside the tract very easily when dressing and undressing. The fit is good and I would say true to size.

If between sizes, size up for hips

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I wear either an XS or S depending on the sizing, and based on some reviews saying these ran large I went with XS. I couldn't pull them over my hips without unhitching the belt and letting the belt disappear into the waist stitching. Once on, the fit is amazing! But there is no way I am going to dig the belt out of the sewn-in housing every time I put these shorts on. I will exchange for a size S. For reference, I am 5'8 and 135 pounds with a small waist (27") and large hips (37.5"). The fabric felt great and I loved the color/length etc., it's only the waist size/belt situation that doesn't work for me.

Love!

These shorts were exactly what I was looking for. I am 5’4, about 135 and size small is perfect. I’m 45, and have had 3 kids, so I wanted something stylish and comfortable, AND age appropriate. Not easy to find! These hit the mark. Yay!! I just ordered another pair.

Not for me

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I was excited to try these, but unfortunately they did not work for my body type. I’m 5’3”, 140# and ordered a medium. The waist was a little big for me, though it does have the adjustable belt built-in. The leg openings were also way too large for me and the front had too much ballooning for my taste. They felt more like swim trunks, not something I’d feel comfortable backpacking in, which is the reason I bought them in the first place. So, back they go and hopefully I’ll find a different pair that works!
