Bagging peaks and touring in the mountains calls for a backpack with technical features and a performance-oriented design. The Ortovox Peak Light S 38L Backpack has the space needed for an epic day in the mountains with our touring setup and big objectives. Its lightweight construction doesn't weigh us down when trying to move efficiently, and the small-torso design fits securely on our back when in motion. Dual ice axe holders, a rope carry system, a helmet holder, a dedicated crampon compartment, and trekking pole carry loops allow us to organize all our gear and make a gear-intensive mission more streamlined. The SWISSWOOL TEC KNIT back system integrates three strategically-placed wool back pads to offer support and moisture-wicking comfort on strenuous ascents. The removable top lid has two zippered compartments for extra storage, and the removable hip belt also has zippered pockets for easy access items. To top it off, horizontal and vertical compression straps cinch down the pack, while stabilizer straps on the shoulder straps can be adjusted to ensure a perfectly balanced load.
