Why We Like The Rebel QC Climbing Shoe

When we strap on the Rebel QC Climbing Shoe, we're able to stick technical moves on granite, sandstone, plastic, and beyond without feeling cramped and uncomfortable, thanks to the flexibly soft midsole. The 4mm of sticky rubber make this shoe an edging powerhouse on vertical sport routes, while the slight downturn keeps us running overhung boulders.

Awkward All-Around

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

The shoe was both too small and too large, and the straps are an absolute mess. The shoes fit snug in the toe box as expected, but very loose in the heel. These will likely only fit well if you have a very wide foot. The baggy heel in combination with convoluted uppers and enormous straps made these excessively clunky, and I imagine would be useless on basically any type of hook. The breaking point for me in sending them back was an unnecessary turn-in on the big toe, which places weird pressure on the side of the toe rather than the tip and makes it excruciating to point/edge in these shoes. Note that I did size up 1/2 size after checking sizing reviews across the web... I think a true-to-size 11.5 might have fit better, but not well enough that I'd risk return shipping to try them on again.

Great intermediate shoe!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This shoe has surprised me! I've tried a wide variety of climbing shoes from Scarpa, La Sportiva, Evolv to now Ocun. This shoe is a great option for the gym during warm ups and even projecting anywhere from v0-v8! I didn't expect the heel hooking to work so well on these but they're surprisingly solid!

Something is off with their US sizing

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

They seem like well constructed shoes but the sizing runs too small. I normally wear and 8.5-9 shoe and even a half size up these were more like a US 8. Based on their chart and the actual measurements my foot I should be a size 5.5 US mens. Hmm Best of luck finding the right size.
