Hand Jam Training Protection

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I'm on my third or fourth pair of Ocun Lite Crack Gloves now. These gloves give great protection to the backs of my hands when working powerful hand jams in the gym without getting in my way for some thinner jams. I'm using them to work a 20 ft. roof hand crack 3x a week without destroying my skin. Great rubber that bites about as well as good tape gloves to help you ease into projects. They won't help you much with fist jams, but tape can help with that. They could be a bit thinner if anything now that I've got some practice with climbing hand cracks. They make a certain "paddle hands" jam into a comfortable hand jam in the gym. The loop on the wrist closure keeps failing before the rubber wears through, but I probably get 1500-2000 ft. of crack climbing before I have to replace them.

So sticky!

Familiarity:

The rubber on these gloves is unbelievably sticky. It really helps secure the jams on slippery granite cracks. Also, they hold up really well. I have used a lot of different crack gloves and they all wear out after a few months, not the Ocuns! Definitely worth the money.

My Forever Jammies

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I will wear ocun gloves for as long as I climb. They’re the most comfortable, durable, and functional crack gloves. The lite version is excellent - while the older versions had thicker rubber, these have thinner rubber and minimal padding behind the knuckles for fitting in thinner hands cracks. I actually keep an old pair for bigger hand cracks/cupped hands, and the lite pair of I know I’ll be climbing thin hands. Can’t overstate how valuable these have been to me - from Nose in a Day missions to sharp vedauwoo single pitch. I love my Ocun Jammies. PS. If you bought the old ones, the lite runs a little smaller - I was a small in the old black leather ones, and I’m a medium in the new red leather ones.

The perfect crack gloves!

Familiarity:

These are the perfect crack gloves! The original Ocun gloves were a bit too thick, but I loved how grippy the rubber was. I've tried all the other gloves on the market - thinner gloves such as the OR and BD ones don't have quite as much grip as I wanted. Finally, the Ocun Lite came out and it is the goldilocks of crack gloves - they are a bit thinner while keeping the awesome Ocun rubber! The finger loops are also a bit looser than the original Ocuns, so they are more comfortable. I'd size them the same way you size your original Ocun gloves.
