Why We Like The Bridger Mid B-Dry Hiking Boot

Leather never goes out of style, but there's more to the Oboz Bridger Mid BDry Hiking Boot than its classic look. Hiding behind the nubuck leather is a BDry waterproof and breathable membrane that makes the Bridger one of our favorite confident bad-weather hikers, helping us conquer tough trails at altitude, in lowlands, and everywhere in between without our feet becoming soggy or sweaty.

Oboz didn't stop with weatherproofing, though; it also included a BFit deluxe insole and EVA midsole to stabilize your arch and protect it from rocks and built the Bridger with a TPU chassis and nylon shank for increased stability on sharp and uneven terrain. A molded rubber toe cap and heel counter increase durability, and the Granite Peak rubber sole is outfitted with beefy lugs for great traction, braking, and side hill stability.

Fit right. Support right

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This is my third pair of shoe and they fit me just so and provide enough support. Comfortable right out of the box for me. Nice wide toe box and snug all else.

Narrow, Low-volume feet REJOICE!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I love the new Spring Bridger! The fit is definitely much more narrow and slightly shorter than the insulated winter version. I find the smaller fit to be a little less clumsy, though it is a smidge short on my bigger foot- but not too crowded. I highly recommend Oboz for their stellar arch support, and now I’m really pleased that they have a style that works for low-volume narrow feet. The Bridger series seem not to be as wide. As an aside, I also have the Sphynx from Oboz, and it is also a great option for narrow feet!

Durable and comfy

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I love these boots so much and am going to order another pair, They were immediately comfortable out of the box and didn't require time to break them in. I ordered a 1/2 size larger than my regular shoe size and they're perfect. I wear them hiking on very rocky and rough terrain almost weekly (for months now) and they've been holding up really well. I wonder if the other reviewer had a defective pair because I'm not seeing any issues with the tread peeling back on mine.

Uncomfortable, Stiff, & Ripping

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Went on one hike with the shoe, already starting to come apart at the bottoms. The rubber tread is already peeling back. Had bruises on my ankles from how stiff the hightops are. Very clunky and heavy. I wear a size 7 but got a 7.5. They are still too small.
