Why We Like The Trollveggen Primaloft100 Hooded Jacket
Demanding ascent and descents in harsh alpine environments call for the Norrona Trollveggen Primaloft100 Hooded Jacket. Boasting the groundbreaking, recycled PrimaLoft Gold AeroGel insulation, this jacket delivers an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio to combat cold temps on the wall. And to ensure optimal performance, Norrona mapped out key areas of the upper body that would benefit the most from extra insulation, giving us warmth where we need it most without needlessly limiting our mobility. Add in the adjustable hood and windproof, water-resistant ripstop Cordura face fabric, and we're set with a jacket that thrives as both a standalone outer layer and a protective midlayer.

Great Jacket!!/ Only one downside for me
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I have an Arc'teryx Atom and was looking for something with a little more insulation for colder days. This jacket is perfect for that. Love the extra pockets. The only downside, are the arms, they seem to be a tad long for me. I fit in a medium perfectly and the arms wouldn't be long. I feel like I am in-between both sizes. I went with large because it was slightly bigger but the downside are the arms, they are a little long for me but I wanted more mobility.

Phenomenal Jacket
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Does everything you want it too and looks so good. It's very warm and with the two chest pockets it hits it out of the park. It's got good coverage too with the long length. The fit is really on point, there is plenty of room for layers. It's not a slim Norrona cut. I have the Arcteryx Nuclei AR (actually I had two, but sold one) which has been one of my all time favorite jackets and when I saw this I was thinking this is the Nuclei but with two chest pockets which makes it way way more functional!! It's warmer than the Nuclei too. Just buy it.

Immediately warm but no thumbholes
The photo is a little misleading as the model is wearing a hoodie (trollveggen Powerstretch Pro Zip Hood) underneath which has thumbholes (matching the coat perfectly). This had all the features I was looking for but no thumbs, I would have kept this except I was looking for a coat with a cuff that has thumbholes. - I love the long back hem - the two sided zipper - multiple front pockets - packable - hood is spacious for a helmet I found the fit Large to be comfortable and spacious, not bulky, I could have fit in a medium as well I think, but was looking for the mobility.
