Why We Like The Norrona Lofoten GORE-TEX PRO Pant
The Lofoten GORE-TEX Pro Shell Pants are Norrona's most durable and functional backcountry freeride pant for skiers and snowboarders. Their GORE-TEX Pro shell provides rugged waterproofing that remains extremely breathable for fast-moving powderhounds. Fully sealed seams further prevent the unwanted entry of water, and full-length side zips use two-way zippers at each leg to vary how much airflow you need, whether you're hoofing up a bootpack in the resort or setting a skintrack in the backcountry.

Runs a little big.
I'm 5'8 and 122 lbs. The mediums were huge. Will return for an XS. Otherwise, very cute pants. I like that they are heavier material.

Excellent harsh weather ski pants
- Familiarity:

The Norrona Lofoten GORE-TEX PRO Pant is my go-to ski pant on cold weather storm days. They are perfect for frigid, snowy days when you can't afford to have wet legs. Warm, breathable and bomber, they will keep you outdoors taking endless laps when others head for the lodge. Multiple deep pockets to store anything and everything that you need for a storm day outdoors. The hip to ankle taped side zips will allow you to vent when necessary. The huge kevlar inner ankle will not tear when struck by ski edges. Even in sub zero temps, when coupled with Arcteryx Rho base layer you will not get cold. The one thing that I do not understand is the waist zip. These pants should be sold with a powder skirt; otherwise there is no need for the extra zip.

Good if you want boom proof heavy pants

I'm a huge fan of Norrona, but these pants are just too heavy/burly for my usage. They are very heavy (more so than the Lofoten Pro jacket). So, sent them back. Love the Lofoten (non-Pro) except for the placement of the zipper/zipper tracks

Love them

I love these pants, they're my new resort pant. They are a bit thicker then a typical shell pant, keep you a bit warmer. They feel very durable and I am stoked on the fit. I got a size small and I can tuck all my layers into the pant while skiing. I got the orange/ blue color and get so many compliments on the hill.

Perfect

I love these pants. They are burly yet not too heavy. I ordered the orange alert/blue fog color and they are very unique. The pocket placement is great. Size wise I ordered a size medium which is my normal ski pant size. I am 5-5 135 lbs, usually a 27 or 28 in jeans. I have fairly narrow hips. The waist fit comfortably with room to go larger or smaller with the velcro adjustment. I only wish I could figure out a way with the bib attached to open them up to use the bathroom without taking all my layers off. I know I will have these for years to come.

Mostly good but returned

Norrona quality is legit! These pants fit more like men?s snowboarding pants. Not necessarily a bad thing but fyi. The tan color was really nice but ultimately there were three things that caused me to return them but I really wanted to love these high quality pow ready pants. One - they have a zipper around the top of the waist band. Didn?t notice in the pics before ordering. This would be rad but my jacket and these pants are both the same side of the zipper (your jacket should still have a zipper on it when you remove the pow skirt to be compatible). 2nd the pants are reinforced at bottom and super bomber but inner gaiter felt soft and like I might tear it with my clumsy gloved boot adjustments. 3rd the thigh pocket gusset created a sporadic thigh pinch which I couldn?t ignore at this price point.
