Why We Like The Norrona Lofoten GORE-TEX PRO Pant
The Lofoten GORE-TEX Pro Pant is Norrona's most durable and functional backcountry freeride pant for skiers and snowboarders. Its GORE-TEX Pro shell provides rugged waterproofing that remains extremely breathable for fast-moving powderhounds. Fully sealed seams further prevent the unwanted entry of water, and full-length side zips use two-way zippers at each leg to vary ventilation, whether we're hoofing up a bootpack in the resort or setting a skintrack in the backcountry.

Size large does not fit a human being
- Familiarity:

The quality and material seems great, but the size large seems like it is made for a rhinoceros. The length and waist are fine for me ( 6'1" 185 lb), but the width of the legs are like 90s JNCO jeans. They are just way too wide even for casual pants let alone high-performance outdoor gear. Had to return them.

Could not make them fit
- Familiarity:

I wanted to love these ski pants. I ordered a L and XL. I am 6’3”, 195 lb, I will admit to a slight dad-paunch, but not a big gut. The L would have fit when I was a slim 180-185 lb. The XL were better through the waist and butt, but were comically baggy through the leg. Someone else said there was enough material to put two legs on each side - rings true. I just couldn’t picture skiing in them with the pants legs rubbing on each other constantly. Regrettably returned both pair.

Perfect pants(out of box)... A bit baggy
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
So first, the normal thing I get with Norrona being 5'7 and 185lbs. These pants are definitely made for a thin slightly taller build. I fit the mediums in waist(32 waist) but the length should be about 4inches shorter... I think this exacerbates the real reason I am returning them, which is how big and baggy these felt. There is definitely enough material to put both legs in one leg sleeve :D. But on the positive, exceptional build quality, awesome leg zippers and great pockets I think really lead to a pant that for someone a little taller than me would be a perfect pant. I love everything else I have from Norrona.

Great pant which is almost there
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
These were great pants which I feel like were almost there. I loved the pocket locations on the leg instead of the hip. Made it super easy to quickly grab snacks on the chair lift when sitting down. Almost loved the mini key/pass pocket in the upper left of the pant which prevent anything important from accidentally falling out when accessing my other pockets. I also loved the full length zipper on both legs. This made it super easy to dump heat along the full leg instead. The material feels super durable as well, but still allowed for plenty of movement. Now onto the sizing... I am 6'0", about 195lbs, and usually wear 34-36x32 jeans. I ordered the Large in these pants. The sizing was weird. Around the belt and in the seat area I thought the pants felt decent. For this I would say true to size. The legs were massive though. They reminded me of parachute pants. This made it a tiny bit annoying when needing to adjust my boot buckles since the pants covered all of them except my toe buckle. I was able to fix this a tiny bit by adjust the snaps around cuff on the leg. #Backcountry Gearhead

Bizarre sizing!

I am 6’0”, 200lbs with a 33-34” waist and 35” inseam. I bought large. They were huge! Waist, seat and length all way too big. I always wear large pants. I exchanged for M. Couldn’t even come close to zipping them up. 2” plus too small in waist. A little too tight seat and length. Not sure why the massive difference in size. If I don’t know better I woulda guessed I was in the XL to start.

Don't Show Any Wear
- Familiarity:

Granite, sharp branches, bushwhacking manzanita, mega beaters, these pants deflect it all and the Gore-Tex lasts. I even slid the better part of an S-rail on my hip, any pant I've ever owned would melt right through from the friction, these pants didn't even show a scuff. I like my pants a little long, by year's end the bottoms have usually been stepped on and shredded, once again, the reenforced cuff has held up strong. All this sounds great, but what else is important is that they look good too. Great fit, super comfortable, I find myself wearing them long after the day has ended. Inbounds and in the backcountry my go to pant.
