Great light weight and packable jacket
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I have had my Falketind Octa Jacket for over2 years now and still absolutely love this jacket. It packs down small enough for throwing in my pack for ski touring and backpacking. I have found this to be a great weight for light activity around the mid 40F and for more strenuous activities around the 30F point. Of course that is subjective and I like being in colder/cooler temps. The "Octa" patterned fabric really keeps in the warmth as it was designed to do. It works well for layering too. Pair it with an outer layer for a day riding the lifts and you will be very comfortable in a variety of weather conditions. The jacket is does breath fairly well for those mornings that start cold and warm up quickly. I highly recommend this jacket for a top quality comfortable jacket for many uses.

Comfortable material, holds smell
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Loved the fit and material of this jacket but unfortunately, it has an uncanny ability to hold onto smells. I generally run hot and sweat a good bit during high output activities, but this jacket begun to stink after a couple mild hikes with a separate merino wool base layer underneath.
