Why We Like The Sky Ridge GORE-TEX Pant
When we're powering up the skin track or hiking through the backcountry gates in the Sky Ridge GORE-TEX Pant, we go confidently thanks to the GORE-TEX membrane that's sure to keep our layers dry from start to finish. Fully sealed seams further bolster waterproof performance, while Cordura-reinforced cuffs reduce wear and tear over time.

Nice ski pants
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Gortex works. Comfortable. integrated belt works well. Love the zippers. They do not bind. Medium warm. Would buy again. More cargo pockets would make even better. No one seems to have a ski pant with more pockets this year.

Solid 2L Gore-Tex snow pants
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
Solid overall offering from Mountain Hardware that check a lot of boxes and should be a good option for most purposes, though I wish they were a bit cheaper. The material seems tough and durable (but not rough), and the fit is relaxed but not too baggy with articulated legs lined with a smooth poly fabric that moves well with you. These run larger than normal pants (like all snow pants) which is good for different layering options, and the waistband cinch works well and seems to stay put (note: I'm at the bottom end of the size range for Medium and these sized down just fine). All pockets have waterproof zippers, and the handwarmer pockets are quite large but the thigh pockets are too small to hold a larger smart phone. The Hardware Navy color is pretty sweet and looks very nice in person (true to color). The ankles don't have zip or snap openings but they fit just fine over my (admittedly old) Burton snowboard boots.

No snow yet, so initial impressions are
- Familiarity:

These pants look better than the pictures, feel and fit excellent, and seem very well constructed and designed. They are slightly baggy or relaxed fit which I like, without looking sloppy. They fit great over my ski boots.
