Why We Like The Col Sleeping Bag: -20F Down
We take shelter at base camp in the -20 Degree Down Marmot Col Sleeping Bag when the low pressure freezes our summit plans. As the roaring whistle of the wind bangs against the tent all night, all we feel is the unmatched warmth of 800-fill goose down inside the Col MemBrain's waterproof, breathable Pertex Shield shell. A down-filled draft tube makes sure that our head doesn't get too cold, and a hidden pocket lets us keep a few items close at hand and out of the cold.

Coldest night yet....
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used on an overnight in Feb. on Mount Washington, NH. Temp -10 F, wind 50-60 mph. Bag kept me warm. Wish I could have used arm holes, but it was too cold! This bag did the job, and can't wait to continue to put it through its paces. Got the long to keep my single-lined boots in the bag with me at night. At 5' 9", still had plenty of room.

My favorite bag
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my Marnot Col -20 originally for climbing the volcanos of the PNW. On Rainier for example I was actually hot and had to vent the bag a fair amount which I considers a good thing because I could just sleep like a rock even on very cold nights. It’s extremely comfortable for sure and I find any excuse to use it. The waterproofing is quite impressive, when I first got the bag I just laid it out back and dumped nalgenes on it and sure enough that bag was bone dry. I enjoyed this bag so much I also got a 0* and will soon pick up a 20* as well. I’d say if this bag is in your budget and you’re eyeballing a -20 for all weather conditions you just can’t go wrong here.
