Why We Like The Mammut Ophir 3 Slide Harness
For increased comfort and mobility on long routes, we rack up the Mammut Ophir 3 Slide Harness. The two-part webbing construction reduces pressure points without adding extra padding to keep weight and bulk low and to boost airflow and flexibility, letting us move freely on the wall. Whether we're layering up for ice routes or down for desert sandstone, the quick-adjust buckles at the waist and legs give us a dialed in fit.

Lightweight and decently comfortable
I did not get this harness specifically just for comfort as I wanted a harness that would feel like I wasn’t wearing anything. So far after having if for over a month I am extremely happy with how it has performed. The material is comfortable and breathable, the gear loops are strong and can fit a lot of gear, and while climbing it barely feels like I have anything on. I did notice a bit of inner thigh rubbing while belaying and tugging from the rope, but it is not quite bad enough to make it worth looking at something else. I believe the slight sacrifice in comfort was well worth it for weight savings.

Comfortable harness
The Ophir 3 is an easy to use, comfortable and very well made harness. It’s easily adjustable, secure, and padded without being bulky. Great for outdoor and indoor climbing.

Great Harness
I’ve used this harness inside and outside, and I’ve loved it so far. It has a ton of adjustment, and fits perfectly where others might not adjust as well. It’s pretty light while sacrificing little. The comfort is pretty good, but after projecting for a while and taking a few falls it can start to bug you a bit but nothing to complain about. While belaying it also works very well, but same goes if the climber is projecting.

Broke after 5 months
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Plastic on the hard point broke after 5 months of regular use while hanging with a creak and crack scaring me. Still had redundancy but very scary.

Super comfy
Most comfortable harness I’ve hung in. It feels super secure in the legs and hips and the gear loops are solid. For sport climbing outside, it’s the best I’ve used.

Ordered this as a harness for my brother so he could climb with me. It will adjust fairly large (Men's 42 waist). No problems so far.

Solid Harness
Great harness, durable, loops are fairly easy to access, and I like the adjustments on each leg. I do wish it came in more colors though. I always worry about accidentally leaving things behind when they aren't as bright or visible.
