The combination of Alumina, an insulated footbed, and Duratherm insulation ensures warmth in sub-zero temperatures when we're wearing this boot. The Mammut Nordwand Knit High GTX Mountaineering Boot is the first mountaineering boot built with a knit upper to provide exceptional comfort that doesn't skimp on weather protection or climbing performance, and we're here for it. The knit upper is elastic to adapt to your foot's specific shape, and with Mammut's Base Fit 2.0 design, the Nordwand Knit High GTX should reduce blistering with its solid, comfy fit. Mammut laminated a GORE-TEX membrane to the knit upper for rugged waterproofing and comfortable breathability.

Very comfy and warm

- I've put it through the wringer
These boots have three things which are hard to find in mountaineering boots: light weight, warmth, and comfort. I've worn them in the Cascades at below 0 temperatures and my feet were never cold. They walk incredibly well and their light weight is a blessing to have when you're putting in miles for the approach or trek to base camp. I've also climbed mixed and ice with them and they're exceptional at that too. They're rigid and provide a great base while climbing. I love these boots, best boots I've ever had.
