All in one
The sole is thick enough to ice climb. Extremely warm for the size. Comfortable and looks great. Absolutely 10/10. Most boots I wear a size 9 purchased a 9 and fits perfectly. Roomy toe box. Can't say a bad thing about this boot. This is a winter crampon/ snowshoeing boot you need for the mountains.

Very comfortable
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I hv summitted one peak after I got my boots, about 10 miles and 3000 feet elevation gain. The boots are reliable and comfortable all through up and down the mountain. They are light weight. I like them very much already! It is about true to size. I usually wear 6.5, but thinking about thick socks for climbing, I ordered 7 instead. It is perfect.

So comfortable right out of the box initially! However, once I started going up mountains it began a love/hate relationship, and I'm struggling with blistering on my heels while ascending. Tried some different insoles, lacing techniques, and tape and am fairing much better. I have used with hybrid crampons, and boots work well with them thanks to the crampon insert on the heel. Boots are stupidly warm - I've worn them in single digit wind chills and my feet were warm and toasty. I can't say these will be my "forever mountaineering boots," but they are doing well for my first pair.

Tested these on one of the Adirondacks High Peaks hike in cold and wet/slushy conditions. Spent 8 hours at a stretch and these amazing boots kept my feet warm and dry while being comfortable at the same time.

Great sturdy lightweight mountaineering boot
No break in needed, they did fit like a glove without hot spots or blisters on my first North Cascades climb wearing them (requiring a 12 mile approach, one way). Tested them in snow as well on some day winter scrambles and my feet stayed completely dry and warm (as long as I was on the move). They fit crampons well and are sturdy for some front pointing on the most Cascades glacier climbs however I would consider a sturdier or double boot on ice climbs.

The best boots I've ever had
These boots are extremely supportive and comfortable, right out of the box. I bought 1/2 size bigger than my every day shoes and can fit a Sole insole and medium weight socks inside very comfortably. I have worn them about 10 times now and have not had any blisters or even a hot spot. Really impressed with these! **Update- I did a ton of winter hiking in these and they are still the best boots I have owned. They fit crampons well and the traction is excellent.

Comfortable, roomy toe-box, lightweight
I purchased these to use spring, summer and fall. They are lightweight, comfortable right out of the box, and have a roomy toe-box. I'm currently using training with a 38lb pack. This is my first pair of boots from Mammut and I am pleased with my investment.
