Crag Sender Climbing Helmet
Mammut's Crag Sender Collection consists of climbing gear specialized for modern climbing at sport crags, and the Crag Sender Climbing Helmet is lighter and more performance-oriented than most of Mammut's helmets for all-around climbing. It utilizes a hard shell for lightness and reliable durability, and EPS foam adds impact protection. You can adjust the fit with a dial that's easy to use even while climbing, and there's an adjustable chin strap and additional cushioning to ensure a snug fit.

Perfect Lightweight Climbing Helmet
The Mammut Crag Sender helmet is a clear upgrade over my BD Half Dome, offering a lighter, more comfortable fit. It's much more breathable, and so far, there have been no durability issues, though I do handle it more carefully than the BD helmet.

Good fit
Fits perfectly in the head being stable even when you bump your head in parts of the wall or roofs

Love this helmet!
Finally used this today. Wore it all day long and didn’t realize it was on most of the time. Super comfortable. Fit really well. And was super light! I appreciate that the plastic shell covers the entire helmet unlike some of the other higher end helmets that lack the abs plastic on the sides in order to save weight.

Excellent helmet
Light and agile. Decent suspension system for head fitment, slightly small fitment dial at the back but you shouldn't need to dial it much unless switching with friends. Easy-fit neck strap dials in quickly.

Great lightweight helmet!
This helmet is an excellent upgrade from an older hard plastic model I had from a different brand. It's lightweight and fits much better. My previous helmet wobbled on my head and didn't protect the front of my skull but this one fits great!

Great Fit
It fits great & I love the color! It came with extra padding to switch out. However, I wish it came with 2 different thickness of padding. I would love a little more padding on the crown. But other than that it is a great helmet.

Comfortable. Light. Excellently priced.
I have used a number of helmets over the years for work and for personal ventures. I currently own a BD Vision helmet as well. I prefer this helmet greatly. Despite the BD having a partial shell and this helmet has a full shell (although this), the Sender is lighter than the Vision. I have ALWAYS favored dial suspension adjustment systems over sliders. Sliders give my OCD a meltdown and they can “poke” you if uneven. This is probably the best dial I’ve encountered. The older Petzl ones were notorious for pulling your hair when they would get caught in the teeth. This dial on the Sender is enclosed and does not do this. Additionally, it’s a fine tooth dial which can get pretty granular all while adjusting EVENLY. When it comes to padding, this lid came with an extra set (free of charge) to replace the initial padding once it’s too far gone. The cherry on top, the inner foam has a circular cutout to accommodate the DESPICABLE HEADACHE CAUSING BALL atop your ballcap. Zero pain. Wonderful. 10/10. Mammut reins supreme, yet again.

After a few uses, I like it.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This is a lower profile helmet which I wanted, feels like it stays out of the way when you need it to, but also gives good protection. The adjustment system is easy to use and gets a snug fit. Overall I'd recommend and I checked out probably a dozen different helmets and landed on this one.

Comfortable helmet
Very comfortable and light. The side sliders tend to slip over time causing the straps to loosen - somewhat common to many helmets so not a huge issue

It was accurately described and the reviewers were correct to say it was lightweight and easy to forget one is wearing it. I am looking forward to seeing how it holds up.
