Great pants, pockets need work
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Love these! The fabric is waterproof when precip is falling, the hook and adjustable hem are nice features so they dan be worn without gaiters. Extra durable fabric on the butt makes for fast and easy glissading! Felt insulated for the gliss too but they did get wet during 3000’ of glissading. They do dry fast though! Cons: pockets are tight for a standard iphone, turn inside out when it’s removed, and it’s hard to get your phone back in. Also, they hit RIGHT where my harness does!

trousers for trips
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Mammut women's trousers are valued for their high quality and functionality, they are ideal for outdoor activities, such as mountain hiking. Made of durable materials, they often have a GORE-TEX membrane that provides protection against rain and wind. The design and ergonomic cut usually guarantee comfort and freedom of movement. Useful details such as ventilation and numerous pockets make Mammut trousers a practical choice for mountain hikers.

These have become my go to alpine rock pants, and I've even used them with a base layer underneath for cross country skiing. They are tough enough to survive granite, and the reinforced material on the bum and kick patches makes them extra durable. The stretch is great for climbing/movement. Pricier pants, but worth the cost in terms of multi-sport usage & durability. Sizing is a bit small, so recommendation is to size up.

Softshell for ladies with muscle!
Been searching for years for a new go-to softshell that fits my muscular legs and bottom and still allows the pants to stretch. This is it! The integrated waist belt also cinches up easily and doesn't irritate my hips with a heavy pack. The pockets are harness compatible and fit a phone fairly easily. So far they've stood up to decent glacier wear and tear and look good doing it! Good midweight softshell for stand-alone climbing or use with a baselayer on colder peaks.

Awesome pants!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Worn rock climbing and scrambling around snowy peaks in the North Cascades. Comfortable, no shifting, three large pockets. Durable and very functional. I even received compliments from other hikers. Because I'm so tall, I wish these were a tiny bit longer, but they still reached the top of my boots without absurd high-watering. If you're of average height, these will fit great. So stretchy!

Comfy stretchy softshell pants
I'm 5'4 and normally between a size 4 size 6 pant depending on brands and often opt for short sizes. My thigh and butt muscles are pretty strong so sometimes the pant sizes vary to accommodate my build. I got a size 6 regular length bc they were out of short sizes. I also figured I may want to layer over a base layer. When I got the pants the length was great and they looked pretty cool. I was a little concerned they would be too tight but they are so stretchy I was easily and comfortable able to layer over a thinner wool base layer. The length worked great with my mountaineering boots and crampons. Took them out for some self arrest practice on some snow in the mountains this week- super easy to move in, dried very quickly and did not wet out. I even poked myself with the ice axe- got a small scratch on my leg but somehow no hole in my actual pant!

Great for Nordic Skiing
Really like the material. Windproof, waterproof and breathable fabric at the back. They are also very stretchy. The waist is true to size and has adjustable velcro on the sides. The shape is very becoming. They fit true to size (waist 26", hips 34", butt 36") The trift long tights fit underneath it nicely. I would need the size up to fit a thicker base layer. I am also excited to try these in the spring rock climbing.

Favorite softshell for alpine climbing
I'm 5'0 105lbs and curvy, and the 4 Short fit perfect. I wish all companies would do different lengths. I've owned the Patagonia Simul Alpine (too thick and poor waistband) and the Arcteryx Gamma LT (too thin, loud swishy, and not soft). These win! You pay extra for the Schoeller (TM) material, but worth it. Soft, comfortable, flattering. SO stretchy, and I hope it's durable. Might use sparingly to prolong life. Will use for cold alpine climbing, climbing in inclement weather, and ski touring in >35 F temps.

Excessive waist size, some pilling
I want to love these pants more than I do. I love the bottom ankle closure having multiple options depending on your boots, the pockets have perfect placements and are nice and sizeable, the extra knee fabric and patterns are technical and fantastic. However, the waist closure sucks if you have an athletic (larger) butt and a small waist. This means that the front of the pants ride down and the closure strap rides above it. Really frustrating, but minor. Also, after climbing in these 20x, the fabric has started to pill and the triangle texture patches around the knees are peeling off. The mens version seems to be holding its durability and function better, which is disappointing.

My new favorite pants
The quality of the material is excellent. Very durable and the inside against skin is so comfortable. The way the belt attaches and adjusts is perfect, very streamlined. The thigh zippered pocket is just right for holding a cell phone, ID, or small map. Been using in 40 degree windy, wet conditions and they perform excellent. I will be purchasing a second pair for certain.
