Holy Stoppers Batman

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I run the Trail Sport SL set up on my Megatower with dual 203 rotors and my Heckler eBike I have these Limited Edition MT7's with a HC3 lever and 203 rotors. Each setup comes with an extra ferrule, plenty of hose for the install. I do recommend that you run the Magura HC Storm or MDR rotors as they are a bit thicker (2.0mm) than the standard Shimano or SRAM rotors. another benefit of the the Magura brake is the caliper pistons have magnets to hold the pads to the piston so that means no springs and no brake pad rattle for that ultimate quiet bike! What makes the Limited Edition MT7 HC3 so much better you ask, well it's the HC3 lever. The HC3 lever has a reach adjustment and a ratio adjustment which is not to be confused with bit point that other inferior brakes offer. Using a Torx T25 you can mechanically change the braking power by how the lever interacts with the piston of the master cylinder. High leverage on sticky terrain or small leverage for extended modulation. I set mine up so the front has all the power and the rear with more modulation. This helps control rear wheel lock up in those sticky situations. There are two things the are of the utmost important when dealing with Magura CarboTech Master cylinders. 1. Do NOT overtighten the bolt as it will strip out the master cylinder and 2. do NOT overtighten the master cylinder bolt!!! Yeah it's the same thing but it is really that important!!!!!! Bleeding process is pretty straight forward a small bleed kit with Magura Blood mineral oil will get the job done. Now i will say if you are just riding around in the parking lot and you grab a handful of lever a Code, or XT 4 pot brake are going to feel more powerful but who needs to stop in the Arby's parking lot right? Out on the trail is where the Magura shines!!! Plenty of stopping power with excellent modulation and if it's good enough for Danny MacAskill and Loic Bruni the 2021 UCI downhill world champion it's good enough for me.
