Excellent helmet, great fit
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I have nothing negative to say about this helmet. It checks all the boxes for my requirements (light, good fit, great ventilation, great retention system, style & looks). Over the years, I've trended toward black or dark gray helmets, and typically get a roasted noggin on hot summer days. Going to a white helmet makes a very noticeable difference in reflecting heat. I also like the trim, close fit and great visibility when in a tuck position. Well worth the money, and I'd buy another.

Airy but the retention system needs work
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
After much fiddling, I managed to figure out how to adjust the retention system so the basket comes down lower on the back of my head. But this required removing the mips liner and then replacing it which is super annoying. Even with that though, I never feel like this helmet is truly snug. The knob on the top is annoying and doesn't move as easily as the typical mechanism at the top of the neck that most helmets have. I think it is snug, it just doesn't feel like it. I think I will continue to use it for road and gravel but look for something else for mountain biking where the thought that my helmet isn't 100% snug is too much of a distraction on the trail. This is unfortunate because Virginia tech gives lazer helmets, especially this one, incredibly good ratings.

Light and Comfortable at a great price!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
This helmet is a great, low-profile helmet with all the protection of MIPS at an unbeatable price! I haven't gotten to try it in warmer weather to test out the breathability yet, but I will update this review as soon as it warms up and I'm able to get out in something where I'm not trying to limit airflow and stay warm.
