KryptoFlex 818 Looped Cable & Key Padlock

Lacking a bike lock can be unfortunate on your weekly group ride, often resulting in standing awkwardly outside of the pub to watch your steed while your friends sip away inside with their faces aglow, enjoying tasty beverages and company. Kryptonite is there for you, so you don't have to feel alone as you watch your friends delight inside, with help from the KryptoFlex 818 Looped Cable & Key Padlock. You can lock your bike up with ease thanks to the 8-millimeter thick braided steel cable that is cut resistant, paired with a keyed padlock that features double-deadbolt locking mechanism to reduce its pick-ability. The shackle on the deadbolt is made from hardened steel to reduce its ability to be shattered or broken. Keeping your bike secure is one step, but keeping it damage-free in the process is important, so the cable is coated with protective vinyl to provide a smooth barrier between your frame and cable, as well as protecting the cable from rain.

At 8-millimeters, the cable will provide cut resistance, but isn't completely cut-proof, so while it protects from an opportunistic cheat, it isn't tough enough to stand up to the savviest bike thiefs, so we recommend pairing the KryptoFlex 818 with a bigger U-lock or chain if you lock up in areas prone to bike theft.
