It has great heel holding
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
This is my 3nd pair. It is the only boot that holds my heel in place. Most boots will not hold a women's heel. But since this boot holds your heel. It is hard to get on. The solution is a shoe horn. My podiatrist loved the boot because it has great ankle support

not waterproof!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I wanted to like these boots. They fit well enough, though not as well as my Keen steel toe boots. But when I took my dogs for a 4 mile walk in the rain yesterday (no river/puddle crossings), I wound up with wet toes. The boots have at most 50 miles on them so should still be waterproof. Turns out I won't be able to take them backpacking with the risk of wet cold toes while camping. I've had my Keen workboots for years and they are still completely waterproof. Left shoe leaked first, felt it about 2.5 miles into the walk, right foot toward the end.

KEEN Ridge Flex Mid WP Hiking Boot
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Loyal Keen fan here of many years. Yep, I've tried other hiking boots, but none compare to Keen & their signature toe box, there is no rival! My Keens have been in all terrain from the east coast to the west coast & in between & abroad. And then of course they are my go to footwear for playing & daily walks with our collie. Great fit, comfort, traction & waterproof equal Keen. :)
