K2 introduced the Reckoner 122 Ski to replace their Catamaran, with the intentions of supplying a more freestyle-specific design for their athletes to utilize in deep snow conditions. In order to maximize performance, the Reckoner has a lighter construction that’s also slightly stiffer for a balanced swingweight and more supportive feel on big landings. The tail is designed to carve, land, and take off switch in any scenario, but the tail rise is actually much lower than K2’s previous skis, providing more ski to snow contact for more turning power in steep terrain. We position the Reckoner 122 as an ideal tool for linking cliffs and transitions with deep landings, and turning big mountain terrain into a powder playground on epic pow days.
