Why We Like The Progress Thermo Bib Tights+
For thermal, wind-stopping protection in the dead of winter and the chilly days of shoulder seasons, we recommend the Progress Thermo Bib Tights+ from Gore Wear. A padded insert and GORE WINDSTOPPER liner keep us comfortable when we're fighting brisk winds and long miles, and high-back mesh bibs ensure proper positioning throughout our ride. Sturdy product!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I love these! I bought for bike riding during the winter and I have no complaints. Now of course I pair with a base layer, jacket, good gloves, and warm socks, but these have treated me well with temps 15-30 degrees. I have no problem staying warm and they do a fine job with the wind.

Good for chilly weather, not cold

- I've put it through the wringer
As other reviews have stated, these aren't very warm. I've found they perform best in 40-50F. I've sometimes added a thin base layer or ski socks to add a little more insulation as weather has dictated. They are not wind-proof! All that being said, in the months I've had them I've gotten tons of use out of them, both on road and on trails. The shoulder straps and chamois are comfy. Don't buy these thinking they'll be all you need in freezing temps. If you're more of a fair weather rider, I think you'll like them.
