Shoulder season rides come with their own unique needs, one of which is protection from the elements. You're not quite ready to throw on a winter coat, but the Gore Wear C5 Gore Windstopper Thermo Trail Jacket might be just the thing. This jacket features a Gore Windstopper membrane that seals out wind and water-resistant material that deflects light precipitation to keep you focused on your ride instead of the weather. A lightweight fleece lining helps you regulate your temperature, and it extends all the way up through the close-cut collar to trap in heat. The slim cut minimizes drafts and prevents the fabric from bunching uncomfortably. Two zippered vents at the front feature integrated pockets, allowing you to stow snacks or other frequently needed essentials while you increase airflow as you pedal up climbs.

Cut too slim for a "trail jacket"
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I wanted to like this but the cut was just a bit slim for my intended use -- I don't race, just trail ride and ride for exercise so I don't need/want a skin-tight jacket. As well, the lining makes wearing any kind of layer a nuisance because the jacket lining causes the layer to bunch up.

Great Fit and Comfort
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
The jacket is well made. Though light weight, the jacket does it's job of keeping the wind out and keeping the heat in. The style is attractive enough to wear in casual settings. The fit is snug but not tight.
