Why We Like The Capable of everything.
In the land of confusing acronyms, the Giro LA DND Women's Gloves are queen. The sleek and stylish patterns will keep you Tinseltown-stylish when you're hitting the Lycra runway, and the silicone-tipped fingers are perfect for keeping a killer grip on your eight-sided dice, but the LA DND really comes alive when you're on the bike. The palm, fingers, and thumbs are made from lightweight but durable Clarino synthetic leather, while the upper is made from a four-way-stretch fabric and features knuckle flex zones that let you move your hands freely, wick moisture, and keep you cool. Vibration-killing EVA foam patches on the palm keep your hands unbruised and stop them falling asleep, and a soft thumb patch makes for the perfect nose wipe when you're still pedaling.

Does the job

I think my hands are average sized and the medium gloves fit me well. They are snug and comfortable. My palm measures 7.3 cm in width and my hand is 16.3 cm in length. Giro is my go-to brand for affordable, quality gear.

3 years and still going
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I've had these gloves for over 3 years now and the only sign of wear is that the fabric over the thumb (mine is black) has faded to a weird brown color. But structurally, these have held up amazingly. The nose wipe area could be a little softer but that hasn't been enough of an issue to make me buy a new pair. I am able to use my phone with them on, but it's pretty clumsy. Well enough to be able to stop and take a picture while riding though. I have small hands and have found it difficult to buy gloves that have fingers short enough for my hands (and I don't think I have 'short' fingers!) but these fit really well and seem actually sized for women's hands. I got a medium after reading reviews.

Slim, minimal gloves

Fit like you aren?t wearing gloves, so you have excellent dexterity on the bike. No padding. Meant to fit slim/ small. The seams do not last long, unfortunately. I have to buy a new replacement pair every year.

Great gloves

Really love the flexibility in the knuckles and the grippy silicone on the fingers for shifting; however, I like my Giro Rivette?s better only because I can use my phone with them. Often I?m on a new trail and need to reference a map to figure out where to go next, and while I love these gloves, I have to take them off which is a bummer.

Great MTB gloves, runs small

Read other reviews and sized up to a medium. I would normally wear a small in gloves. These stretch well and have nice grip. Would recommend!

Great gloves! Run small
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I like these gloves so much I just ordered another pair as a backup but I didn't bother looking at the size. I am a small to medium person, almost 5'5, slender athletic build. My hands are NOT big. I ordered size medium and I can barely stretch them over my hands. I will return for large, which apparently is what I already had, so at least they are consistent. I love the fact that there is no velcro, just elastic at the wrist, and they have held up very well considering that I only swap them with one other pair and I prefer these! I have the black ones with the black dots, nice design.

Read The Reviews - These Run Small
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I'm thankful I read the rest of the reviews on these gloves before purchasing. I usually wear a small in almost everything, and would consider myself to have tinier hands, but in these Giro gloves I wear a size Medium and they fit perfectly. Very snug, stylish, and I can still use my phone with them thanks to the grippy finger pads. I really enjoy the fabric texture of these as well.
