Abisko Summer Hat
Developed and tested during Lapland's Arctic summer, Fjallraven made the Abisko Summer Hat to shield the always-present sun from cooking your brain like an over-easy egg. The hat's wide brim folds onto the sides of the hat for less flapping when you're hiking, and an adjustable chinstrap secures it to your head. G-1000 Lite fabric isn't too heavy and allows excess sweat to evaporate. A UPF 40 rating ensures your dome won't burn when subjected to intense sunshine.

Great summer hat!
Perfect hat for full sun coverage, great materials, proper fit, and doesn’t get too hot in the sun on my head either.

Good but hot in summer; will shrink slightly.
I'm always searching for a lightweight cloth hat that has a stiffer brim the typical cloth boonie hats. This hat fulfills that need. Notes: 1. Buy slightly loose because it will shrink slightly after 1 wash in warn water and normal machine dry. 2. This hat is hot on a summer day-no ventilation in the crown and you'll notice it.

Favorite hiker hat!
I bought this hat in M initially and had to upgrade to L. But the Blue I have in L is great. I wear it on almost every hike I take. Helps keep sun off and rain off my glasses, is not floppy and has held up beautifully. I think I need one in Buckwheat now...

Not breathable, warm
It's a nice hat. Looks very good, but I think the material of choice on the top isn't that best. It's rather thick, which makes it not very breathable and it gets very hot in it. Could barely wear it on a hot day hiking as I was overheating. Wish it was lighter material

Not good at all for rain
Ok hat, but the rain soaks right in after about 2 minutes. I wouldn't call it water-resistant or fast-drying.

Sizing a little smaller than expected
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I purchased this hat according to the size chart and my measurement is 22” so I ordered a medium which is 22”-23”. It was smaller than expected and fit tighter than I wanted it to. Perhaps it would stretch out, but I was not willing to chance it and returned it.

Don't waste your money.
Junk. Every seam is crooked, the snaps are half an inch off from eachother, the logo is crooked, the cord is sewn in crooked, and the size is mislabeled...it is absolute garbage.

Colour change
Dark olive colour turned brown after one wear in the sun.

Well-rounded Hat
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I bought this hat for a recent backpacking trip in the Eastern Sierras and it performed admirably. It's comfortable, breathes easy and did quite well in a bit of snow despite the G1000 fabric containing cotton. What I like most is that the brim stays stiff and does not flop around. I used to hike and camp in a ball cap, but I will now use this for all of my outdoor activities.

Blocks the Sun - Does the Job
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I love this hat! I have had multiple cases of skin cancer ( all removed) so I have been looking for a hat that will block the sun yet not be too big. This one does the job for sure... has held up well in salt and freshwater and I often use it when I work on my property... They did it again.
