We like how the Faction Prodigy 3 Capsule Ski takes the freestyle focus we expect from Faction and infuses it with unique modern features, encouraging us to take our tricks to new terrain. These 106mm waisted all-mountain skis boast a poppy poplar core, floaty and quick-pivoting rocker profile, and enough camber to hold an edge and pop our tricks high. What really steals the show, however, is the Elliptical sidecut. With a longer radius underfoot and short radii in the tip and tail, this design helps us initiate turns and pivot on a dime, two things that are often mutually exclusive.
